Conversation Week @ Second Life
Just got back from Conversation Week event in Second Life. The event was held at the Peacemaker Institute on Commonwealth 3 (via Commonwealth Islands in Second life). See my snapshots below.
Our conversation revolved around technology, ethics, morality, information overload, filtering, and metaverse activism. I'm still a newbie when it comes to SL. I do my online conversations in the blogosphere. It was my first time to participate in a Conversation Cafe style, virtual or otherwise. But all in all, thanks to the warmth, depth, and openness of all the participants, I find the experience very positive and engaging.
The potential of the metaverse as both a platform and “location” for deep conversations and serendipitous meetings is very promising. I think it's about time that I brush up on my SL skills and do more exploring.
Big thanks to Vivienne for her warm welcome and for hosting the conversation.
