Leaving Ireland

Blogging will be light in the next few days as I fly back to Seattle. Will miss the people and the majestic views in Ireland.

Packing for Boulder...

I will be in Boulder starting on Sunday to meet up with the Zaadz + Gaiam Team. I've been working for Zaadz for more than a year now and it's the first time I'll meet the rest of the team in meatspace.  It feels like a family reunion. Thanks to our parent company Gaiam for hooking us up!

To all my Boulder homeys: Let's hang out when you get the chance. I miss the hippies on Pearl Street :)

Standing on the Grave of Giants

One of the highlights of our London trip was our tour at Westminster Abbey -- the burial place of Kings.

Taking photos is not allowed inside, but we managed to steal some shots. Here I am standing on Charles Darwin's grave. Gave me the goosebumps.

We also took a snapshot of Sir Isaac Newton's monument above his grave. That monument will always remind me of the Da Vinci Code.

So, when you visit London, stop by, have a moment of silence and pay some respects to those great men and women who are buried in this remarkable Gothic church.

@ London, England

I just love everything about the city of London – the people, the fashion, the attraction, the history, the art, the architecture, the shorter working hours and the public transportation.

Here are some of the photos from our trip.

When London Doves Fly

The visit to London was well worth it. I just love the look and feel of this city! It must be the historic places, the well-dressed people and the jaw-dropping architecture, combined with the lovely weather at this time, which made me fall in love with this tourist destination. I hope to visit again. In the meantime, we'll by flying back to Ireland today. I'll post more pictures soon.

~Kosmic Aperture: More Downtown Dublin Photos

I have a big backlog of photos (make that hundreds of photos) I've taken here in Ireland that I still haven't uploaded to Flickr yet. I finally had time this morning to work on some of the photos. Here they are. More photos to come…

Red ~C Diary: Downtown Dublin

Me and ~myDakini spent our weekend at downtown Dublin. The stereotype holds: lots of people on the streets with smell of alcohol, while some are drunk and completely passed out. There's even this drunk dude who mooned us as we were crossing the streets early in the morning.. So I got even with him by taking a snapshot of his white ass. LOL. I'm so bad.

Anyway, all in all, Dublin is an awesome city. It's teeming with life and history. It's a melting pot of different cultures. Very vibrant with old bricks, colors, live music, sculptures, monuments, artworks, shops, restaurants, and countless pubs and bars. I may have taken hundreds of pictures but we've barely scratched the surface of this historic city by the river Liffey. We're going back soon to take more pictures, swim within its culture, and maybe drink a beer or two.

NOTE: So far I've only uploaded the first set of my Dublin photos. More photos to come. Everything will be added to the Ireland Never Too Far photoset.

Red ~C Diary: Walking, Sleeping, Dreaming On Yeats Territory

“The only business of the head in the world is to bow a ceaseless obeisance to the heart.”

William Butler Yeats Source: Letter (1886)

The day is gloomy. It's raining and cold outside. I'm here in Sligo, a small town made famous by the celebrated poet William Butler Yeats.

We pass by W.B. Yeats's monument everyday as I drop off ~myDakini to work. Every place here is walking distance. I don't need a car for the next few months. And besides, it'll be challenging for me to drive on the left-hand side of the road and do manual shifting using my left hand. So walking around is bliss. Walking with ~myDakini is bliss. Walking back to our place and plugging into cyberspace to do my work is bliss. Blogging this post is bliss.

Blissful as this is, this too shall pass, but the memories would linger beyond my deathbed.

Yeehaw! Headin' Back To Texas!

George Bush and the Cowboy CodeBlogging will be erratic in the next few weeks. I'll be heading back to Texas for a work assignment, frying under the Texan sun. I hope my hyper-sensitive epidermis doesn't act up. I'll just need to make sure I keep my cool. I'll probably end up staying inside my air-conditioned room and movie theaters during my free time. It's going to be a challenge to maintain my diet. Lucky for me steaks and shrimps are good sources of protein.

Too bad I'll miss the Stu show in Seattle. Bummer, y'all. In the meantime, check out the latest B-SCAN. It's awesome.
